Orange brings African and Middle Eastern culture to video games through cultural avatars.

It all starts with a simple observation: Africa and the Middle East are driving the global growth of video games but are completely invisible in the multitude of video games that exist. None of them offer to dress the characters of video games with clothing called "skins", which represent these regions.

In order to promote the cultural identity and clothing traditions of these regions in video games, Orange is launching Cultural Avatars. The objective is to allow gamers to represent themselves through skins from their home regions in the games “The Witcher”, “Sims4” and "Minecraft".

Working with young designers from the region to unleash their full potential.

But that's not all. In order to unleash the potential of young talent, Orange has chosen to collaborate with 3 young designers from different countries in the region. Yasmine El Tazi for the MENA region, Ibrahim Fernandez for the SSA region and Marie-Laure Jaomatana for Madagascar have created the outfits that are the basis of the skins, giving their vision and artistic touch, while combining tradition and modernity to match the video game universe.
